Replacing uPVC window handle?

Hi all,
I managed to snap off the handle of a window at home. It is a uPVC handle and I was wondering how easy is it to fix it myself (I have very limited DIY knowledge/ experience)?
I have attached a picture to show the type of locking mechanism it uses
Any advise would be much appreciated:T

Plus if they don't use that type they will probably tell you what make they are and who uses them in the area. You can find them on ebayI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
I have used handlestore.com following a recommendation on here, they have a wide range of handles and delivery was prompt.0

I think the spindle length is 12mm and when I purchased a replacement handle with a spindle of 15mm, it didn't work lol
My question is, if I purchase one that is 10mm, will it work? or does it have to be exactly 12mm? It seems the 12mm ones are not as widely available as the 10mm and 15mm ones....?0 -
just cut the spindle down with a hacksawif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0

If it is just the spindle length that you're concerned about then can't you use the one you have if you've only snapped the handle ?
also - another vote for handlestore.com - especially for hard to find sizes.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0
