Help please, sell an Xbox

Hi all
Wondered if I could get some suggestions on where / how to sell an Xbox? We have one at home with half a dozen games, including the call of duty ones. Has one controller, headset and a tv remote thing.
It's a 360 that's about 3 yrs old, in full working order. But collecting dust.
I guess I want the least hassle for getting rid really, preferably not eBay, I've read too many horror stories on people coming back saying it doesn't work etc.
I know you can trade in games, but can you exchange for cash? Another game would be no use to us here. Would somewhere like cash converters give a reasonable price for the console? And what is a reasonable price? I'm not expecting to make a fortune but nor do I want to give it away...
Many thanks for any suggestions,
X

Cash Converters tend to give horrid prices for things. If you have a Gamestation, Game or CEX (Computer Exchange) those will all pay cash for games and consoles.
I would say CEX is the best option there. You can check what they will give you for items in advance as well on their website. http://uk.webuy.com/
I tend to only exchange things there to get a better return though. Depends if there is anything else you want - blurays, pc bits or phones.Total Debt Feb 2012 [STRIKE]£12,153[/STRIKE] 10674 16.5% Paid

That's great, that's, had not heard of CEX, seems you can sell online too, and post the stuff off, which is helpful. I just need to work out exactly which version console it is now!
Thank you!Bossymoo

Try local free classifieds for the best price - Friday ads, gumtree etc.
Just watch out for scammers - cash on collection only!0 -
Previous poster correct - when using Free Ads - cash on collection. Also try IYAN http://inyourareanow.co.uk Its local and has a dedicated XBox section.0
