When to open student bank account?

My daughter is starting university this year and has received an email from the Student Loan Company asking for her bank details.
We tried to open her an account with the Coop Bank but they want details of the course she is studying. Of course she doesn't know this for sure til she gets her results in August.
Is it OK to delay opening an account until she has accepted her offer?
Thanks for advice

I'd open the account with the details of her firm choice.0

Or you could open a basic bank account any where just to be sure there is no delay getting her first payment and she could open a students account once she's started her course and then just change the bank details with student finance?0

My DD, who is currently at uni, went to Natwest. They said she could open an account and then convert it into a student account on presentation of her acceptance letter from UCAS. She kept the same account number throughout, so could give the details to the Student Loans Company straight away. She also gets a free young persons' railcard each year with the student account.0
