Could anyone help me please? Today I rang Santandar Cards and asked how my case for ppi refund was getting on as it had been over 13 weeks. They informed me that I was getting my ppi back but due to there still being an outstanding balance on my credit card they would be deducting it from that. I found this so fustrating as I feel they are telling me what to do. Surely I should be able to choose what I do with the money and a cheque should be sent to me. Has anyone else been in this position? How do i get my money sent to me by cheque? Are they allowed to do this? Help:mad:

Yes. This question pops up frequently here. You owe them money: they owe you money - they are keeping the refund.
Just ensure that you obtain a breakdown of the refund as you have to pay tax on the 8% interest (unless they have paid it net) unless you want HMRC after you!0
