UKCPS Court Action

I would like to say a big thankyou to this site and to give them fa who supported me with help and advice on the court action taken against me by UKCPS.
After receiving my court date and filing my defence, I arrived at court today to be told UKCPS had withdrawn their claim.
My advice to anyone being harassed by this company is to stand you're ground and pay them nothing.

  • Top Class. The more they do this the closer the court gets to declaring them 'vexatious litigants'; and bars them from filing.

This is what their spin off UKPOA did to me or what ever they call them, I went home £172 up in expenses.

Would not a counter claim for harassment be in order? Trying to terrify a driver into paying by issuing a court claim when having no intention of pursuing it. Had it been a less tenacious person than the OP the harassment could well have succeeded.

Hasbeen couldn't locate the court as he has lost his compass. Both moral and actual compass.

I think this proves yet again that Hasbeen just issues the court papers to try and frighten people into paying up. Like all bullies, if you stand up to them they will run away with their tail between their legs.

Sounds more like court non action, just out if interest, if you have to take tme off work/incur expenses as a result of such action can you claim your money back from somewhere? ( time spent+costs+earnings lost )

Yes Trisontana you are right and he cant do anything against the good defences he is being presented with

This is despite Hasbeen being on record as saying "i get lots of poor defences from MSE". Well whos laughing now!

Yes if you arrive at court to be told its withdrawn, you can visit the front desk and file a late amendment for counter claim, the hearing will already be scheduled and the judge will decide on the amendment which would require an objection from the plaintiff, as they have not turned up they can not do that and the counter claim will be heard.
It's your chance to stick the boot in !

You're the fourth in the last fortnight.

UKCPS's little flurry of court activity was a real damp squib.
