Getting rid of water mark on wall/ceiling

Hi,
I recently had a roof leak which meant that water leaked into my bedroom leaving me with a bit of mould on the wall/ceiling and a water mark. The roof has now been fixed and the wall/ceiling is no longer damp at all.
I intend to use Dettox Mould and Mildew Remover as recommended elsewhere on this site but would like to know how to go about getting rid of/covering up the water mark as I doubt that emulsion alone will cover it up.
Any advice please?

I had a water stain on a wall as the flue on the other side got damp, and water seeped through the breeze block and plaster. I painted over the stain with Zinsser 123, two coats applied with a brush, then mini rollered to get the same texture as the wall. Then repeated using Dulux matt emulsion until the stain was no longer visible and it all looked perfect. In your case it might be worth cleaning the wall around the stain with sugar soap, to ensure the paint will adhere and nothing with bleed through. My wall was recently decorated.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

Yep - and cheaper tooPerfection takes time: don't expect miracles in a day0 -
Never used oil based undercoat, so I cannot comment, but the brush is easier to clean with Zinsser 123 as it is water based.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

They also do/did one in an aerosol which was convenient for spot stains and a little cheaper than the one below IIRC. Have used the aerosol even on still damp patches and it has worked when painted over.
