Ive been watching an item and placed a max bid, the reserve wasent met, however when i checked later it was on 2nd chance with an option to "buy now", which i did ( hadent paid as it was collect only). I e-mailed the seller to arrange collection/payment only to be told the £10 buy now was wrong and basically tought get lost. Ive reported to e-bay as i dont want it to effect my ratings.
Any advise?

They've probably had a better offer from someone else. However if they have refused to sell to you at the price agreed on ebay, then they are clearly in the wrong as far as eBay's regulations are concerned.
The long and short of it however is that if you leave them bad feedback, you're probably quite likely to get some in return - and eBay are unlikely to reverse it as it will be nigh on impossible for you to prove that he refused to sell rather than that you refused to pay (which will probably be his defence should you take it up).
I would guess that if you don't leave any feedback then you won't receive any. Personally, I would give him a neg and the hell with the consequences - I can't stand it when people go back on an agreement. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
The only thing you can really do is raise a non-performing seller dispute, with your options being you still want the item. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0
