help default loan - ppi still possible?

Options
back in the 90's i worked for barclays bank and had a staff loan with them ( with PPI. They then made me redundant and i found a temporary position for a few months then became unemployed. I couldnt pay the monthly loan payments so seeked help through the PPI. they refused to pay out as i had sort work. Bascially if i was unemployed straight from being redundant they would have helped. As i had started my career over i was on poor wages and the loan eventually went to CCJ. im still paying it off now after all the charges were put on the loan rocketed to over £10K. Do i have a claim here or will it be null and void as it went to CCJ. thanks for any advise.
i posted this back in march and the response i received was that i should have claimed back then. that's not my point here - they didn't pay out then due to small print and i just accepted it - no its deemed illegal will they pay out on a default loan?

They may indeed find in your favour, but any redress would go towards the outstanding loan amount.
