Credit cards

in Credit cards
Good evening. I've just had a telephone conversation (cold caller) regarding credit card agreements. The caller (I didn't get the company name, but did 1471 to get the number, which I noted), told me that if I have a credit card to which I have signed an agreement before 2007 and I owe more than £1000-00, I no longer have to make payments and the debt will be written off. This apparently being due to changes to the agreement in 2007 to which card holders were not informed of and therefore renders the signed agreement invalid. Has anybody heard of this? If so is it true, and what do I do? Presumably there is something more required than just stopping payments.
Many thanks ADF170

Does it sound true to you?0

Well yes, you can just stop payments.
Assuming you don't want to apply for any more credit products in the next 6+ years (depends on the default date on your CR), as your credit rating will be trashed. Any other credit you currently have may also be withdrawn, including the possibility of any bank accounts you have.
and they'll most likely charge a fee for this 'service'.0
