i am currently a Swalec customer and for gas and electric I am currently 85 pounds in credit and 54 respectively, as Swalec are administering this company I rang their enquiry line and they did the math,I will be 200 a year better off at current usage, as my circumstances have changed dramatically I will be consuming more power during the winter, which is why I have not asked for my credits,is their any catch I cannot see
Do I need it or just want it.

No company is going to 'do the math' in a way that doesn't make them the supposedly cheapest supplier, so before signing up you really should run a check on a comp site with your annual kWh figures-it's 2 minutes work.
Ebico are very competitive for low users, but we don't know if you come into this category or not without your kWh figures. If your consumption is going to soar, they may not be. The comp site will reveal all.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
