Hello!
I won an item on eBay last week. It was a bracelet described as 'used' but in very good condition and was only bought 7 months ago and only won on a few occasions.
I received the item but it is not in very good condition at all. It is awful and looks as though its been worn for years not just on 'special occasions' as she has put in her listing. I can now see why she is selling it as it is tatty and horible.
Also, the packaging supplied is not for the bracelet and is for another item of the same brand. I know this is not the original packaging as it does not fit in it properly!
I emailed her and said I wasnt happy with the item, and although she states she does not accept returns I wondered if she would reconsider due to the listing being misleading and the item not as described. She has refused. I also doubt the authenticity of the item and asked her to prove it is genuine but she cannot, which surprises me as she bought this item only 7 months ago for £300 and I won it for £88. It is was me I would have kept the recipt for an item of that price!
I have raised a dispute and we cannot agree an outcome as she will not accept a return. I am going to refer this to ebay for a decision on Saturday. All I want to do is return it for a full refund.
What do you think my chances are of eBay siding with me?
Many Thanks

eBay will side with you if you have described as you have above.
They will either tell you to send the item back tracked, if they do, it MUST be sent via Special Delivery, do not be tempted to opt for anything else, especially Recorded delivery.
Or, eBay will give you reimbursement/voucher to send the item back.
Or, eBay will give a no fault refund, where they reimburse you but the seller keeps their cash and you don't have to return the item.
Wait until you are told the outcome instructions and come back here if you need further help.0 -
I hope so! I will update on Saturday and see what happens. I really dont want to waste £88 on a rubbish bracelet that I cant wear.0

I really hope you took the advice to send special delivery, as otherwise you won't be able to prove the seller received it back.0 -
