Hi
I have just started a new job which pays by cheque. I have ha to work 2 weeks in hand. I can't really afford to wait another week for the cheque to clear. I phoned my bank (barclays) to see if they could do an express clearence but they don't.
Is there any other way to cash it without using one of the shops that charge?

Ask your employer to cash it for you. Otherwise no.urs sinserly,

Yea, JuicyJesus is right. Unless you want to pay for it or wait for the bank, you would have to get your employer to do it.

OP do you know which bank they bank with?
Is there a convenient branch of that bank nearby?
If so open an account there and most cheque would clear on the day you pay them in.0 -
Cheers for the replies.
I've asked about being paid differently as have others but he won't. Don't want to push to hard as he's only just taken me on. (I'm self employed).
He banks with Barclays (different branch), the same as me, but I spoke with my bank and they still said 5 days.0
