Redundant

I may made redundant in May following my employer going into receivership.
My pay was not forthcoming and as such became a claim from the Insolvency Service.
My pay was in excess of £430 per week so it is capped. I totalled up payments due, and submitted the necessary forms and a payment has been made
I worked part time, does anyone know how they assess the payment due?

PT V FT doesn't matter. If you wage is under £430 (as per your contracted hours) you get that wage, over you get £430 max.
Eg a FT worker on £15 Per Hour would recieve the same Red Pay as a PT (0.5) worker on £30 Per Hour - the pay is the same.0 -
So if I was due £1800 for 5 weeks work (didn't work 2.5 days every week) (contracted to £570 / week based on 2.5 days), I should have got £1800 from the insolvency service, for some reason they reduced it to £1500 and seem unable / unwilling to advise how calulated.0

Were you a contractor or an employee?
5 (years) - and this is full years on a £570 pw wage would be £2150?0 -
i was an employee, used to be full time from sept 09, but part time from nov 11, company folded in may12. so far been paid £1500 of £1800 wages acrued and 1 weeks notice at £430, no redundancy money as they are taking my employment from nov 11.0

Get the service start date fixed if continuous employment.
due 2 weeks notice + redundancy
with the current start date no redundancy.0 -
that was my plan, the insolvency service have not been the most helpful with providing answers, with regard to length of service, I was going to send then a selection of pay slips from 2009 - 2012 as evidence, I also want to address the missing pay. ( can you find out if the company issued a p45 (but not to me)) when I changed from full time to part time, they gave me a new employee number but this was for ease of payroll0

So you should be entitled to
5 weeks wages at £430
1 week PILCON
Any holidays?
you really need the start date.0 -
the company didn't issue contracts of employment so difficult to prove start date other than by pay slips, the inland revenue have the information as I went from self employed to paye in September 2009. Any suggestions?0

Hello, ive set up my own post to try and get an answer to this with no joy, so as you have receieved a payment from the NI fund, can ask how long it took for you to recieve it?....and did you get any kind of letter before hand?
thanks a lot...0 -
about 3 weeks before I received an email letter telling me I was getting a payment, cash in bank about 8 days later. Pay in lieu of noticw letter about 2 weeks after above email and cash 3-4 days later. Letter telling me I am not enittled to redundancy about a week after initial letter but by post. I think in summary theyre very slow as they are very very busy - email take 15 days to reply0
