I've delivered to her Paypal address - Is that wrong??

Buyer claimed none delivery

I asked her to confirm her delivery address before I refund the wrong person

Meanwhile checked up and noticed her Ebay address is different from her paypal address - obviously her old address not been updated and the one i posted to

She still hasn't replied to me with correct delivery detail and i suspect she now realises her mistake

I'm quite happy to refund her 50/50 but dont figure I should be £20 out because she forgot to update her paypal address

If she opened a dispute, who would be in the right in Ebays eyes?

Apart for which it is still definately at her old address where she could still probably get it back

You've got a lot of answers on your other thread on the official boards.

My answer is the same as most of theirs - you should have gone from the eBay details; they are automatically transferred from eBay into the transaction there.

I wouldn't ever 'go halves' with a buyer - either refund or don't. It's not a mistake if the address is on eBay and she put it there meaning for you to send the item to that address.

If she opened a dispute she would win if it was sent untracked.

After I posted her back her Paypal delivery address (the one I delivered to) she now says "the name and address have nothing to do with me"

    What!!!!!!!

Well thats the person/account that paid for the parcel and thats the only person getting the refund

Crowqueen, you say go by the eBay address, that is counter to everything that we usually say in these boards. I never even see the eBay address, I log into PayPal and print off everything from there and would therefore be covered against an INR if I sent my items tracked, or a claim for fraudulent use of card , even if untracked.

However I do agree that without tracking the address is immaterial for an INR claim.

Without tracking any address is immaterial (unless it's a paypal address and an unauthorised chargeback) as soolin says.

It's recently changed such that the eBay address given at Checkout is transferred to the Paypal transaction attached to the sale.

It's to make using gift addresses etc a lot easier.

Crowqueen is correct and its something I posted here some time ago. I stopped checking Paypal addresses last year and have never had a problem in over 10000 transactions.

So as long as I continue to print my labels via paypal I am still OK as the address will be the same as the ebay one?

I always log into paypal and print my labels as it is a second check to make sure I have actually got cleared payment, I don't know why I worry about that as I've never falled for a phish yet, but double checking has become second nature.

I think so! I download all the data from ebay and upload it into my packing software.

....although that doesn't explain why the OP saw a different address in ebay and paypal for their customer!!!
