How can I find out when I moved into this house? Lie?

Thanks everyone, I'm 99.9% sure it was 1992 so I'll just pick any month

Does anybody know what would happen if they did find out the month was different?

Since April 2000 the actual date of the Transfer and price paid has been entered on the land register for most residential properties. Where both dates are available it might be possible to establish a rough moving date as that is most likely to have fallen between the date of the Transfer and the date of registration i.e. that 4 to 8 week window. However in this case such an entry is unlikely to exist as you state that the property has been owned by your father for 20 years
