Money I wouldnt have if it wasn't for MSE

I want to start this off with a big thanks to Martin and the rest of you lovely people who contribute to MSE.

I have just acted on the instructions re Mortgage fees and have just been told by Halifax that I have a £60 cheque winging its way to me. It took me 10 minutes to get that money from reading the details, going upstairs to my lifetime of paperwork file and calling the lovely lady at Halifax! 3 mortgages and 3 different amounts of cash to roll its way back to me totaling £60!

Just think if I hadnt of had the day off sick to spend a moment reading my NO1 website and check this out Halifax would have pocketed the squids and the chief exec of Halifax would have had another bottle of Moet on me!

What really concerns me though is that there is a lot of people who "think" they havent got the time or wouldnt consider that they are owed anything! I was about to become one of those people and then I remembered the time when Martin helped me bag £1000, from a miss sold endownment! Even with the endownment jobbie I was about to say to myself "oh I dont think I will have a leg to stand on what's the point!" The best thing about the endownment reclaim was that Royal Sun Alliance had lost the paper work and had to go with my claim and pay up the squids!!!

It really goes to show that thanks to the research and effort put in by Martin,his team and MSE contributors us ordinary folk can get back some cash that if not claimed will go into the back pocket of city bosses!

I am feeling the same kind of euphoria as I did when I attended the anti war march - the people united will never be defeated!!!!!!!

when were you with royal and sun alliance by the way - were you entitled to shares/cash a few years ago when they merged?

I would also like to thank Martin and everyone on MSE, I have saved over a £100 on my contents insurance, over a £100 per year on changing gas and electric supply, over a £100 a year on getting a water meter in and I'm in the process of getting my daughters bank charges back from Abbey National.
Thanks to everyone in the comp forum as well, not won anything yet but keeping fingers crossed.
