Hello, all. I'm filling out a life insurance application and need to have a copy of my passport certified. My husband is a chartered accountant - is he forbidden from signing it because he is my husband?

Why not just send it and cross any bridge that might follow?
Or to ensure no bridges turn up, ask them first! (Companies make up their own rules on who is acceptable to certify documents)0 -
Most companies will not let a relative sign it.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

Check with the insurer in question. My wife was allowed to witness one of my documents even though she is both a relative and beneficiary of the policy. Another wouldnt accept her on either count let alone both0

just get a work person todo itDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Are they asking you to make the copy ?
It is a crown copyright document, some institutions have licences to make copies, they are not given to the general public, they should not be asking you to break the law.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. You don't get what certified copys are, they are countersigned copys of original docs and yes you can do thisDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. Nonsense. The government requires financial (and other) businesses to evidence that a person is who they say they are.
Are you seriously suggesting it would prosecute people for complying with the Law?0
