Stop texting and start writing... put it in a formal letter asking for a calculation of what he wants to withhold and proof of the alleged damage (as well as the inspection sheets proving when it was done).0

As far as I'm aware such a clause would not be enforceable as such. The firm would have to pay for whatever portion of the notice period was worked plus any accrued holidays.

In the real world what this will degenerate into is a game of "you sue us and we will sue you".

Uncertain, I see you are still preaching the "you won't get sued for breach of contract as its too much trouble with little rewards" line to people on here.
We have crossed swords on here a few times over this and I know where you stand and you should know where I stand.

You have made a mistake by not doing your notice period. On the same note, they can't deduct wages without contract permittance and providing a breakdown.
Suggest you stop texting and write in asking for a breakdown of any deductions of pay, a justification or bill and timescale to respond.
Post the reply here and people will help.

There have been maybe 1 or 2 instances on here of employees being sued for leaving without working their notice. It is a risk. But the likelihood is low. Very low. In this instance, it could be substantially defused by offering to return to work once a threat is received. Because in all likelihood, the offer would be refused or the employer would take the opportunity to suspend without pay or dismiss.
