dates for re-takes please !

If anyone could help I would be most grateful. ( I realise it's not strictly money saving !!!! ) I would like to surprise my daughter with a holiday, she may need to re-take a Criminology exam at Manchester uni sometime in Aug- she has asked several people for dates without sucess, so I'm stuck !
Any info would be most welcome. thanks

I don't think there's anything I or anyone can suggest other than your daughter chasing it up with her department. It's only March and it often takes a while for universities to get their resit dates arranged as it depends on the number of students resitting exams, universities are also notoriously inefficient, even the good ones. I had a resit last August and I don't think I got the date through until about June or thereabouts.

Hiya, Might be worth emailing the Uni, there should be an Admin department which would be able to tell you.

You could always book the holiday- then if she fails her exams in June and has to do retakes then you could go on the holiday in her place. It might give her that much more incentive to MAKE SURE she doesn't fail her exams and have to retake!!

I seem to remember that my retake was in the first week of September (different uni though).

It would be worth asking the Admin people in her department when the window for retakes is, as they tend to be roughly at the same time each year i.e. last week in August etc.

a lot of places haven't announced the dates for the first set of exams in may/june yet (usually done over easter) - so it's probably a bit early to be asking for specifics, but someone in the school office should be able to give you a week when they are likely to occur.

    Manchester exam dates... Clicky Here!

You won't be able to get more specific than that until they have compiled the timetable for resits.

That's okay, I'm happy to help.

The site is terrible for finding anything for current students, it's just an advert for the university. Pretty similar to the rest of Manchester, students seem to be an inconvenience much of the time. But don't get me started on that! ;)
