Gumtree problems

Copy of email I'm about to send to Gumtree. Any thoughts?
When accessing a localised version of Gumtree (from a typed URL, not a
favourite) in IE it redirects to a random "security" site which tells me my
computer is infected (obviously a scam). Sometimes the whole webpage is that of the "security" site but on the latest redirect the localised page from Gumtree was shown but with a script-based popup from the "security" site and with the
URL of the security site shown in the address bar. I know how to close the popup with Task Manager but Gumtree must be referring me to the security site for this to happen. Norton Internet Security lists it as a Fake App Attack.
