Fence painting this "summer"!

Hi,
We've been needing to paint our fence for a long time but have been thwarted by the "summer" we are currently enjoying.
Tomorrow (morning at least) looks dry and (shhhh!) sunny.
Are we OK to paint the fence early tomorrow morning even though it's been raining so much recently - is it necessary to allow some time for the wood to "dry" out first - so wait for a good few dry days and then paint? Just that we could be waiting a long time...
Thx for any advice.

The fence needs to be dry which may take a few days. Once you put stain on it will need another hour or two to dry but dont lay it on too thick as it takes longer then. Dont worry of its still not done I am sure eventually we will get some dry days before Autumn/Winter0

Im in same boat, I started mine months ago, when we had lots of dry weather, and stupidly assumed Id finish off later, yet still waiting for dry weather. We also want to paint our house, but theres no chance of that, we need at a few weeks to even fill cracks and let dry before we paint! So annoying but then, it'll just have to wait till next year I suppose.0
