Eh no, I have a 55 plate ZR750 that can do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and 150 overall.

Do you mean the Z750R? That's a naked bike producing 106bhp, 30 more than an XJ6 Yamaha.

There are very few top end sports cars on the roads that can beat a £1500 sports bike off the lights. Don't underestimate the power between your legs on these sports bikes.

I don't underestimate the power of motorcycles, but I do wonder what a 76bhp Yamaha XJ6 can achieve.

The fz6r is the us name for my bike, which is an XJ6 Diversion F ABS, and quotes 3.8 so not far off. Mine has been modded with a power commander, full arrow exhaust system, and had it's gearing changed via the chain. I wouldn't say 3.6 is far out.

I'd rather have a lexmoto than a Suzuki alto, but even a ybr125 is only £1999 new.

I guess you missed the bit in the specs where the time quoted was estimated and not actually tested. I would think a time of 4.5 to 5 seconds would be more realistic.

Here's a YouTube clip where the rider did two runs and got times of 4.69 and 4.84 seconds

I see people mentioning acceleration time which is something I'd put in the toy category unless you're doing a lot of overtaking on nsl roads or motorways, not really places for 125cc scooters though. Another thing I didn't think about was mpg now that another posters brought it up and there's also the cost of maintenance and longevity between the bike and car.

I'm just curious how much more costs and resources are involved in building a small hatchback.
