Has anyone got a floor polisher? I have been thinking my wooden floor needs shining up, and now it is so clean it seems like the time to do it!!

These are the cheapest replacements pads I can find on the internet £8.99 for 5 and it is free P&P.

Just ordered some - as the 2 mine came with are now filthy, and don't look very white anymore even though they have both been washed.

2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Leave them to soak in hot water with a little bleach, then rinse and wash as normal. They sparkle :D

Really want one, I don't clean the floors in my house nowhere near enough. Get fed up of the bathroom floor which is original 60s tiling and is impossible to clean and all laminate gets covered in whatever it can within minutes of being cleaned. With a mechanic and a 3 year old I'm running out of steam, pun definitely intended!

I'm a floor cleaning convert! I did our little kitchen quickly, then went through to the hall to use up the water. To my absolute horror when the steam started going into the carpet I got a strong smell of feet!! I vacuum every other day and the carpet always looks clean so I couldn't believe how much dirt came out. It smells lovely now (I added a few drops of orange blossom scent to the water.)

    Just a word of waarning...

but I notice a couple of people on here have mentioned they have added oil etc to the water when using the mop however the instructions do warn not to add oil, detergent etc as this can damage the mop!
  • Hi, i love the Holme steam mop but im on my third one since March this year! I had 2 off Amazon, both stopped working after only a few months, first tripping my trip switch then just not getting any power to it and so leaking water everywhere :( Because it was such a pain to keep sending back in post i seized the chance to buy instore at Asda but having had my mop again for only a few weeks the same thing is happening again! Is it just me? Has anyone else had this problem? Am i being so unlucky with the mop or am indoing something wrong?? Thanks.

Oh I didn't see that bit, thank you! I just used orange blossom perfume this time but I was about to buy a bottle of citronella oil for it:o
