Scent swapping is a great idea, bring something back that smells of mum if possible. They may well be fine in the carrier if they have something that smells familiar and one another, they will be used to sleeping squashed with their litter mates and don't have mean vet associations yet!
Another option is a Feliway diffuser which makes the whole room/ floor smell like generic cat pheromones. Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
