Have you used the Blockbuster DVD Rental code MSE2012?

Hi,

I am interested if anyone used this code. It was valid until 14th June and entitled you to a 30 day trial and a £25 Blockbuster Marketplace voucher when you paid for the first month (after the trial).

I joined on the 7th June (entering the code and the website acknowledged it correctly) and have now made my first payment, but not received the £25 voucher.

I have raise this through the Blockbuster website, but have not received any response and have failed to find a telephone number to contact them on.

Feeling a bit cheated and surprised that such a big company as Blockbuster are this slack:(

If you used this code and received the voucher please let me know how long it took to arrived (shouldn't be that long as would be an email).

    I used the code as well, and have paid my £9.99 for the second month also, but have not yet received a voucher either. Will let you know when / if i do.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    I did a similar thing with Lovefilm which offered John Lewis vouchers. I received them approx. 1 month after my first payment, so you might want to wait it out a little - HTH.

    I also signed up with that code and have now paid fot 1st month ..no voucher here and no reply from contact us bit on website ..as this was a highlighted deal for MSE members could someone higher up keep tabs on this ..thanks

    I also went for this. Paid the monthly fee on 10th July. If the vouchers appear once the paid month is over we'll be charged a 2nd month, which wasn't what the offer originally stated.
    I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

    any chance of help from a mod with this ,seeing as it was a MSE offer ..is there a bigger thread to merge with ?? no voucher yet

    I've tried 3 times now emailing, and if I do not get a reply within the next week, I think I'm just going to cancel, which is a shame because I really quite liked the concept. Just to add insult to injury, one of the games I borrowed was corrupted in some way and I spent 2 hours thinking I was lost on the game, when in reality it was a glitch. Returned the game, but was consequently without it for 5 days, when I was right near the end. Somehow felt shallow finishing it after that...

    "Can I firstly apologise for you not receiving a reply to your previous emails.

    I will certainly look into this.

    If I can advise you that our customers are sent the voucher within 30 days of their first payment being taken via email. This would be before the 7th of August.

  • I spoke to customer service yesterday, they say that the voucher will be emailed shortly before the second payment is due to be taken..........

    ^ Sneaky way to get accidental 2nd payments from people. I realise this is all part of using-and-abusing schemes like this - the need to keep an eye on the date and cancel in time - but there's really no need for the voucher to be sent out so late. Once they've got the first DD payment that's it and it can't be refunded so they may as well send the voucher out shortly afterwards.

    Thanks for the report back from customer services anyway. :)
