Halifax cold calling

Halifax called yesterday.....What accounts do you have with us ?......What's your credit limit ?......Year of birth etc etc....
I refused to enter into the conversation on security grounds, as I always do in these circumstances. It probably was genuine, but I don't like it. Anyone had the same call ?
They said they will send the info by mail. Is it a good offer, I wonder(I have nil balance).

More than likely a BT offer on the account if you have a nil balance and if the account is still open........

I wrote to them recently after they reminded me that I had an existing 0% offer currently running. The problem for me was that it was about to expire and would shoot up to 21% two weeks later ! Or am I being cynical ???
Maybe this is a peace offering.

Well if the 0% offer was about to expire, then yes the rate would return to the standard one. What this prob is could be an offer of a LOB rate ~4.95 or 6.95% with a 3% fee.

If you call them, they can have a look and see what offers (if any ) are on your account.
