Looking to take little un away for our first holiday. Going start of sept
was wondering if anyone had any ideas on places to go. Think mainland spain (costa del sol),spanish islands or algarve.
Needs to be somewhere where the flights are not too long and also where the transfers from the airport to resort is not too bad
if u have any hotel names that would be good for kids would be usefull aswell
cheers

Surely you can go anywhere you want? It's not as if you need any special facilities for children of that age - are they not too young to really do anything!0

I would recommend Puerto Pollensa in Majorca- about a 2/2.5hr flight from UK and an hour or so airport transfer0

Bit further afield but we took our 5 months old to Turkey and had a fantastic time. Not only was it beautiful but the locals adore babies & children and nothing is a hassle for them so going anywhere, eating out was a pleasure0

yeah can go anywhere but was after a few suggestions.
Heard many mixed reports about turkey so wont be going there im afraid.
Majorca seems and option -no of any decent hotels?0 -

Callum do you try and be a knob end? Seriously?0 -
Any of the Euro resorts will be fine, just beware, disposable nappies are an horrendous price in Menorca or they were when our daughter was in nappies, guess this goes for any of the Balearic Islands we got stung first time, after that we packed a small suitcase with nappies, if you are on a package babies get baggage allowance.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

Alcudia in Majorca is lovely, beautiful beach. Santa Ponsa is very nice and a shorter transfer.0

The only problem I can see with Turkey is the longish flight and silly o'clock arrival/departure times, last time we went from Manchester, we arrived at our hotel at 1 am and our return flight left Dalaman at 2 am. Turkey is very nice and I wouldn't have a problem with taking a 1 year old there, the hotel in Marmaris that we stayed at was lovely and great for kids of all ages.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
