A couple of my email accounts have been hijacked, not sure how many of them yet but I have quite a few. The weird thing is, I mainly use my iphone to check emails - can they get viruses?
I am running malwarebytes (updated and doing full scan) on my pc and laptop and will change the email account passwords. They didn't change the passwords.
Is there anything else I should do?

How do you know your accounts have been hijacked? How do I add a signature?0

I had an email from someone telling me and also I've had some delivery failure notification messages.0

That doesn't mean your account has been hijacked. It's more likely your email address(es) have been spoofed - the spammer puts a random (in this case yours) email address in the 'from' field so it looks like the email comes from you.How do I add a signature?0

As Figment says, spoofing is more likely - the person who let you know, are they in your contacts list (ie hijacked account emails all your contacts list) or just a random stranger (in which case no account access, most likely)0 -
Are the emails in your sent folder?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Easy to guess your password you used I expect !!! Change it0

In which case change your password *and all the password recovery details* (eg secret questions and answers, alternative email address, whatever you have to give) now and the problem is gone. You're lucky you can still access your account, often people get locked out when their accounts get hijacked.0

Malwarebytes came up clean so you must be right. I have a much stronger password now. Thanks.0
