Courier delivering furniture item from ebay - Recomendations?

Hi,

Can anyone give me personal recommendations/advice on a courier for the delivery of a nice oak desk I am hoping to buy on email.

I wouldn't consider Shiply because of numerous bad reviews and high booking fees

I've used Anyvan once before for delivery of a cheap item, and that worked fine. This time the item is more expensive and I would like book the courier directly so that I know who I am getting before booking. I want to try to make ensure the courier has insurance and will use proper wrapping or sheets or whatever to ensure my desk isn't damaged in transit.

I am currently considering Eazimove, SilverSprint or AMT. Does anyone have experience of any of these couriers or alternatively can recommend a different one?

Firstly has the seller a preference as they are the ones who will need to agree to use your courier. Also is seller happy to completely box or pallet the item, or are you looking for a door to door delivery unwrapped?

The seller originally intended the buyer to collect, but when I asked him if it was ok if I sent a courier, he agreed. So it is up to me to find a courier.

The seller is not expecting to box or pallet the item - it is a large heavy item of furniture!

So I'm looking for a reliable courier who can collect the item, take care of it during transport and deliver to me.
