Halifax and Aqua = No and No!!!

Hi there,
I need a little advise with the following?
I applied for a Halifax Clarity and an Aqua Reward card and I received the same standard reply letter....
We have looked into your application and well you know blah blah blad credit score blah blah blah no card will be issued!!!
I have had credit cards before, got a Next credit account, mobile phone credit account, over draft which I never use with HSBC and have no bad credit history!

I only applied as I am planning a trip to Europe and thought they might be usefull?

I need help with this question now:
Trip is going to cost around £1500
So do I....
A. Just use my HSBC debit card
B. Take £500 cash and pay the rest on HSBC debit card
C. Take all cash
D. Take £500 cash and load the rest on to my Pre Pay Caxton Euro Card
E. Tale smaller amount of cash, say £100 and load the rest on Caxton Euro card

If anyone knows of any better options please let me know?

Which of these is the best?
Which is the cheapest?

Thanks guys and gals!!!

Ade

I am going for option E when I go across europe next month.

If you need more euro notes while you are out there then ATM cash withdrawals are free from the caxton europe card anyway so no need to carry hundreds around with you and risk loosing them.
