Nothing eats bindweed, not even slugs.
I've pulled great spiralling skeins out of my lottie's soil, sort of like albino bedsprings. Ghastly stuff.
Have been having a lovely time with the Pinterest site's SHTF collage and must go off-line as eyes getting boggled plus I want to tweak my EDC (oooo-err missus).

My bindweed trick:
When you find it stick a cane so it can grow up it.
Put bag over stick and offensive item
Spray liberally in bag to protect all other surrounding plants using roots n all stuff
Leave for day less in hot weather remove bag and cane with dead matter, burn dead matter reuse cane and bagStart info Dec11

No, I am here folks!!! Had a busy day, went to the gym this morning but the weather has taken a turn for the worst. We are on a five day warning for deep overnight frosts which will last until the afternoon, high winds and the chance of snow even at sea level (we are about 1200 feet up a mountain). At the moment its freezing out but dry thank goodness.
I just checked out the Greek ski resort webcam and it was minus 10 with 90 km an hour winds and a wind chill of minus 23! Dear God I hope we don't get that kind of weather. All the ferries are cancelled and the ski resorts have been closed to prevent people getting stuck in drifts. Because the snow is expected even in Athens and Kos the municipalities have opened all night to offer shelter and food to anyone homeless to go for food and shelter. If we get snow or ice I won't be going anywhere at all!
Our wifi broadband was boosted to a higher signal as a gift for Christmas from the company and it seems to be working well despite the bad weather. It used to go off at the slightest flicker of wind or rain so big improvement.
Otherwise things are fine, a few earthquakes still around us and the colder and dryer it gets the more we are at risk of them. The scientists are getting worried about the volcanoes in Italy and Thailand and Argentina are reporting huge cracks in the earth and evacuating people. If anyone is interested I will post the links tomorrow. Thanks for worrying where I was.....xxxx“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come.
