When I was on a mission to draft proof the house I was actually really disappointed with sheepskins - especially for the price. Not much more and you can buy a reindeer hide (polish rather than uk for £55) - much bigger (3 or 4 times the size - easily double bed sized), and hollow fibre so very springy.
The best natural fabric to trap and hold warm air is wool, so I invested in some ex-army/surplus wool blankets (£5 each) which cam in grey, blue and green, for on the chairs and on the bed as a top layer.
I used microfibre fleece (very light weight and great colours) for curtain backing - much lighter than traditional heavy curtain fabric.
And I bought some lovely lounging about clothes - I would say pyjamas, but I lean heavily towards oversized jumpers that I can't stand to sleep in.
I also had some sacks of raw wool from a friend and made some of these:
Which are fab for either the floor or the chair and cost very little but time (most sheep farmers burn fleeces so with give you bin bags full for a few quid). That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Just picked up an interesting little article in the Telegraph, apparently the Belgian Government is issuing IODINE PILLS to everyone in the country to take in the event of a 'Dirty Bomb'. They will be delivered to pharmacies for collection. Previously they were only issued as a precaution to citizens living within 20k of the two nuclear power plants in the country. This new issue is in the wake of discovering video footage of an executive of one of the power plants taken by a suspected IS member. There is mention of a kidnap having been planned to actually make a dirty bomb. Interesting times???0

Well spotted Mrs LW, thanks for that ... thats pretty da** horrendous. And bearing in mind how close the south of England is, if the wind is in the "right" direction, it's important we know.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Just for clarity (as I had to check the article to be sure) - Footage of an official was discovered, which may have been filmed as part of terrorist surveillance.
It was't footage of the officials being taken by terrorists.
It should also be noted the decision is in response to a report on the safety of the facilities - The connection between ongoing threats of terrorism and this action has only been made in the media and it's more likely a safety issue rather than a credible threat has resulted in this decision (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36090821).
(IMO)That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I bought some of these a couple of years ago. They don't go off do they? I was just searching for them online, and found some. Have a guess where they are posted from.

The wife of the bloke who is involved had the video tape which contains 10 hours footage of the movements and everyday routine of the executive and the bloke himself was arrested in November on suspicion of being involved in the Bataclan attack in Paris. There is mention of his being part of a terrorise cell in Belgium. The executive had access to Nuclear Isotopes in the national Nuclear research facility. The whole article is on the MSN newsfeed which we have up as a screen saver.
No more scary than Three Mile Island, Chernobyl or Fukushima MILA and I think there are still areas of the UK where the livestock are still so contaminated that they cannot be sent to market, I think someone mentioned that some pages back on the thread last year. We have no choice but to live with that and the threat but sure as eggs is eggs, I'll LIVE and not be scared into not living and deal with whatever happens in life as well as I'm able. If you're scared into submission then the bad guys have won before they even attack, not going to happen!!!0 -
