Let's hope so - it's more than a normal months food budget!

Still. I inherited a beadnell from my parents (who are much better off than I've ever been) which was older than I was; it went on to last me another 15 years before an unfortunate encounter with some barbed wire a couple of years ago.

I really missed it this winter - thus the purchase.

I do think some things are worth a little more cash for the quality, and it's an older style so more than half new price.

I need to update my preps list again soon.

Cant wait until the end of the week - the pre election period in Wales starts on the 4th.

Then I might be able to catch up on some housework :rotfl:

Newshadow.. I waited ages to get a pair of argile wellies, loads of people told me how good they were, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that type of money.. But when I seen a pair at the malvern show in September I tried them on.. And they are brilliant. After them being in the box for ages ( afraid to wear them lol) I live in them now. They are sooooooo comfortable lol.

So some things are worth the money.. Another thing is good fitting, comfortable knickers lol..

Hi Michael, Good to meet you.

Have a poke around, tell us a little about yourself.

And please try not to let Hester and bob scare you too badly... They just forget quite how ancient they are sometimes.

I've heard forgetfulness is common when you reach such great ages. ;)

:) Hi Michael, good to have you with us. There are several keen gardeners here so feel free to ask.

The humour on here can get a bit knockabout and saucy but you have to remember that a lot of us are middle-aged (like me) or even older and we've had plenty of time to rack up some colourful life experiences and to practise dirty jokes.:rotfl:

Don't be silly! You're not even middle-aged yet! - Remember TPDB recon you're going to live to be atleast 120.

That's why they're putting the retirement age unto 80. It's supposed to be 1/3 of you're life retired.

The fact that I started working at 14, and therefore recon I'm owed 6 years on the other end of the balance sheet disregarded.
