  • In you dreams Bob, and if I was in your bedsit, you would be the one wearing the cuffs!

GQ, so glad to hear you have the all clear, I've been worried about you.

And when I'm worried I wield the crop with extra force, so Bob's eyes would have been watering!

GQ, much as I appreciate being called Young Hester, lol, I'm probably one of the oldest on the thread, I'm the oldest staff member at work!
    Chin up, Titus out.

Just checking if I'm going mad(der)... anyone else think the thread title has changed?
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

It has, "the SHTF" has been removed, be interesting to find out why, given its got to almost 40K posts and 3.5 years without any change.

Though I'm surprised we haven't been asked to move to a new thread, long before now - long threads used to cause the forum software huge problems.

Oh! That's why I couldn't find it. Thought it was something I said.

Can I thank MrsLW and others on this thread for rekindling my interest in foraging please :) I had a bad heart attack last September (thankfully I've made a full recovery with no lasting problems) and have felt very down, but over the past two weeks I've walked the legs off the dog looking at, and for, edible plants in the inner city and its been better than any tonic from the chemists.

So many thanks to all, I'm very grateful to be reminded of all of the skills that I still have and just haven't been using :)

Can anyone give me advice on what I can grow on a 6x6 patio?

It's currently got a (very old) bike on it (which is going soon), and I need to allow enough space for the door to open (where'd that roll eye emote go anyway?)

    I'm really, really lazy.

I've currently got a blueberry bush - it produced around 20 blueberries last year :D

And anything I add will need to be something that's 1. happy in a tub, 2. needs effort once to prep/plant and then again to harvest.

I was wondering about potatoes (for next year now I think?).

Or alpine strawberries - I used to see them growing wild in mid wales.
