So this guy does sometimes go off on one a bit....but there are nuggets in there that make you think and I guess this is one of them:

There is no truth in the article about Greek banks taking deposits. There are also no shortages at the moment. This uses stock images of the supermarket. In the market in Athens they are complaining of having to cut the cost of food as they do not have enough customers to buy fresh food.
We will have to see what happens with the banks. They were not closed by the government, but by the IMF and ECB.0 -
Thanks 1Tonsil, a lot of people are speculating because no truthful news is being reported.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Their sugar is now down to 39p a bag.. Need to stock up on loo rolls, ( down shifted to Nicky loo rolls)
So will make the most of their £2.50 off £25 spend..
Nicky loo rolls are far superior to Andrex, they are selling 2 x 18 roll packs for £7.50 in Farmfoods at the min.0 -

We have taken cash out too and put it in various places around the house.
I just need to remember where the hell I have put it.
I think the insurance covers us for some amount of cash, can't remember how much though but we haven't got a lot so we will be well within the criteria if it got nicked!
I must change some of the twenties for five or tenners though and perhaps some coins.0 -
Re the budget, here is a calculator to show how much you will lose next year,(maybe gain if you are lucky) not sure how accurate it is though.

Trivial thing this am and don't know whether it should go here, on MMM or the gardening thread.:)
I found a small wooden stepladder in the shed when we moved into this house. Not safe to stand on but thought I might chop it up for kindling at some point.
Anyway, got it out thought, hmm, and have painted it pale green, screwed the flippy bit into place so that it can't fold down and am going to screw small planting troughs onto the steps.
This will be perfect for small pots of herbs.
Pretty and practical.:D
A millimetre step forward to growing my own and self-sufficiency:rotfl:
I would try to post photos but then we'd hear the next moon landing has had to be cancelled because of parsley related interference.
Hope none of you are worrying too much about the budget contents - hard not to if you get any benefits though.
Nuatha - is MIL ok and have you made any decisions on location? Not dim.....just living in soft focus
