Well, just wandered around to look down on The Hole, where some poor beggars are chest-deep in the subsoil, with the 5 inch main exposed, and about to tunnel sideways like moles. Trucks, genny, lights, looks like they will be a long while yet, and I bet they'd rather be home for their suppers.
Stopped by on SG on my way back to mine, her water is back on, not sure about my supply, but not critical if it isn't. Bit of a b*mmer for those who were out at work all day and came home to find their supply off with no warning.
SG is going out to her club, but I have joked if it gets bad enough, I shall have to go to the pub to some essential rehydration.:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Does she have a prescription for the pub?
SG or myself? SG is partial to the odd G & T, truth be told. I'm more a lager lout. Except for being nearly teetotal. I think I shall put t'kettle on, which was filled before the water went off, on grounds of Getting One's Priorities Right.
Pensioners are a lot more interesting when you get to know them rather than just judging by appearances. SG is a riot and has a scandalous sense of humour. Scandalous, scurrilous and decided risque.
Ooooh, I can hear the nocturnal shrieking of the Lesser Spotted Angle Grinder over in t'Hole; getting interesting here. Hope they don't leave that elephant trap open when they finish tonight as it's on the migratory route from several pubs and we may end up with our very own drunk tank..........:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

one in six properties in England is at risk of flooding. They always have flood action warnings out and then we get floods and the action warnings are out now. I hope it isn`t a case of `here we go again`.0

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bb mice in the food I HATE THEM THINGS!!!!!!!! give ma cockroaches anyday
GQ, I find pensioners to be a very bad influence. They can generally drink you under the table and if it's something naughty, they've tried it at least once.
I was reminded the other day, having been given a jar, how wonderful a stuff honey is. Well worth adding to the storecupboard, being as how it doesn't go off and can be used for so many different things. Will be upping that stock shortly.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
