Agreed, I seem to recall that the staff at St Mary's, Lacor thought they were treating malaria until they spotted the high death rate. They put in place barrier nursing overnight but too late for some of the staff.
Within the UK, my experience has been that some hospitals have a decent attitude and some are lax in the extreme. Someone I know was transferred because the hospital could not diagnose and they were deteriorating. First thing the new hospital noted was an extensive MRSA infection which resulted in immediate isolation including a ban on visit from vulnerable family members.
Then they look at diagnosing the underlying problem. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

BB hope you have had a lovely birthday evening sounds like you have your family very well trained in the gifting department what thoughtful ideas
The apple cinnamon flour is officially lovely sat here noshing a bun made with the dough from earlier. It'll be easy enough to make my own as its just dehydrated apples powdered and cinnamon, which I have a huge stash of.
Need to have a baking day tomorrow but I so want to go in the garden instead, the compost bins need doing as DS2 very kindly did a whole black sack of shredding today for me.I don't have a lawn so next door give me their grass which I mix with the shredding and it makes superb soil. One is choc full of good stuff just needs sieving so I need to empty that, turn the other lot into it before I can start adding to it again...or I could leave it for OH to do on his day off Friday!!0 -

I don't have the best lungs in the world anyway, so I find my morning walk normally helps to 'blow away the cobwebs'.
In view of the dire warnings, I decided not to go for a walk today, and just went off to paint a flat a little earlier.
I have not noticed any greater breathing problem today. Was anyone else affected?0 -

I had a look at Amazon and Andrex was 22.45 for 45 rolls but there was a 60 roll option for another brand for a similar amount. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0 -
Bob they're usually just under £20 (andrex) and they used to be even cheaper as I had them on subscription so an extra 15% off on top but for some reason they took those off the deal.
I can rough it with the best of them but my one luxury in life is my andrex lol0 -
