Shamefully, I have had cause to call my own mobile from my landline to find where it had gone by the ringtone.
Guilty as charged ma'am:rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Me as well. Am seriously thinking bout getting mobile phone cover in vivid colours to see if will help me lose it less.
Mind you its not the only thing I lose. Once found the TV remote in the fridge.:rotfl:Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -

Knowing the words.......scary. I just have the tune stuck in my skull and find myself humming it at random moments.
Please share a scene from the febrile pit which is the GQ Imagination.
The Scene; a rah-rah US political rally, with some suits on the podium, lots of banners, a bouncy crowd with lots of banners. There may even be cheerleaders. There will certainly be flashlights bouncing off a lot of scarily-straight and white teeth. Bit like sharks at an aquarium.
The Action:
The Suits will be glad-handing the crowd and perhaps even kissing babies. Security dudes with earpieces will have made sure ahead of time that nobody who looks even slightly contentious is within half a mile of The Suits. All is well on the outside.
But it is all a ruse, for those smiley happy fanboys and fangirls are closet anarchists and, at a pre-agreed signal, stop what they are doing and move into a synchronised song-and-dance routine, carolling The Government Can.
The Suits' smiles become fixed as they realise what is going on, as the words of the song percolate beyond the bouncy singalong tune. More and more fixed. They become rictuses. If they had any shame, they'd blush at this point, but let's not ask for the impossible.
The security dudes are going ballistic in place. How can they arrest people for singing a happy little song? With matching movements? Their masters are becoming more and more agitated. The song ends and immediately repeats, apart from those who are laughing too hard to continue singing.
The Suits have had enough and leave the stage and The Song breaks up into hoots of derision. The limos are waiting outside for the Suits but their drivers are operating under new instructions and take off for the nearest penetentiary. There may be a show-trial and/ or summary executions.
Which will be televised, of course. This is the USA.
George Carlin with be elected Postumous President for Life (PPOTUS) and everyone will live happily ever after.............My imagination always runs CinemaScope as a minimum standard with Busby Berkley plug-ins as an option.
This would be a brilliant contender for a 'flash mob' type event in a crowded shopping centre!!!:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012. Amount £21862:eek:April 2013 = £20414:T April 2014 = £11000 :TApril 2015 = £9500 :T April 2016 = £7200:T

DAZ our Sunnans live on the upstairs window sill all the time and the light is definately enough to charge the solar cell and keep it charged for instant use, they're a brilliant product and so easy to keep prepared, I love ours to bits.
I'd love to be able to find a free standing separate spin dryer, we had one and a separate washing tub before I had the girls and for the two of us, they worked really well. I wouldn't mind washing the socks and undies every night if I had a decent means of getting them dry enough not to drip puddles on the utility room floor, not possible when hand wringing, the alternative would be a little mangle/wringer like the Acme ones that fastened on the sink and you wound with a handle, now that was a useful little product, I wish they were still made, I'd get one like a shot, Cheers Lyn xxx.
I thought they still made those gravity drain clothes spinners. I think they are designed for had washes and for when caravaning?
Obviously from a SHTF POV something manual would be nice, but for everyday the plug in ones could be useful.

Our house drives us mad, things disappear from right in front of you and we waste ages finding things. I am also guilty of putting things in the fridge. I know where I get it from though as Mum once came home from my brothers with his remote control in her bag :rotfl:luckily he is only 5 minutes away from her.
I would love a twin tub washing machine, Im sure they would be better as you can control them more. Now our kiddies are adults we dont really have much grubby stuff but have tons of bedding due to hubby sweating with his meds. We really do have too much bedding and stuff nowadays, I think if I did a cull life would be easier. My washing pile takes on epic proportions at times and really gets me down. Since we had double glazing installed the washing on the rack seems to dry very slowly so I open the backdoor whenever I can. Decided last week to haul out the tumble drier to finish stuff off in so I can keep things moving, its only on for ten minutes or so but do it late at night so its on the economy 7. Its very difficult weighing up how to streamline things whilst keeping costs down.Clearing the junk to travel light

I will get my caravan0 -

I really feel a sense of foreboding about what is going on and I will not keep a lot of money in any bank account, it is more likely to be in the credit union these days or used in buying prep style things, plus a few quid at home for emergencies rather than saving it.
If the things we need are food, alternate heating and cooking etc, then we are safer investing in these things than to trust the banks or government and we definitely cannot trust the EU.
The government tries to big it up saying that there are more jobs, but how many are made up of zero hour, part time, slavefare, the sick and disabled thrown off ESA/DLA or those who have been sanctioned?
They are using tax payers money to shore up failed banks, the EU, foreign aid and now creating another unsustainable housing bubble, but the poorest and sickest are the ones who are suffering :mad:
They seem to have no power against the utility cartels, but will not renationalise why?
Because they all have nice little directorships, golden handshakes and shares lined up in these companies that's why, I am talking all parties the so called liblabcon who's policies all seem to favour the rich and kick the poor.
There is too much conflict of interest from our politicians and the nest of vipers needs fumigating.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Re Butterfly Brains last post, email I just received just adds insult to injury. It's seems the S won't HTF for MP's any time soon:
"Within weeks David Cameron will be making a decision on the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority recommendation for a 11% pay rise on MPs' salaries.
Initially the pay rise was meant to come with the scrapping of expenses (they use our taxes to pay for their daily meals, travel, expenses for second homes and duck ponds etc) but now they are demanding the pay rise whilst keeping their expenses intact. All the while they are cutting benefits for vulnerable families, freezing salaries for our most loved nurses and sacking the police we need to keep our communities safe.
The British people can't take much more of this, the blatant stealing from the poor to give to the rich is getting out of hand and it's clearly apparent that the current government are also silencing mainstream media to keep important changes from us.
We, the British public are part of a democratic society and need to express our disgust at the proposals to yet again, give bonuses and pay rises to those who not only don't need them, but don't deserve them!
Please sign this petition and share with your family and friends, don't be complacent and believe this will all go away, or that it's too late; it's never too late to use your voice.
Much love and support to everyone who is struggling due to the actions of this Government. "
There's a petition on Change.org, for what it worth. (I've taken the email at face value, not researched the background, think they're quite capable of such double standards)

I've signed the petition and even made a couple of comments
(not four letter or even libellous)
Is" immoral, should be illegal, self serving and verging on corrupt"
liable to get me sued?
Managed to get to weekly market for their eggs, got ham shank and sausages from butcher as well and dashed home in case package was being delivered for DD who comes home to visit at weekend.
Planning to order more cartons of tomatoes from AF and also the no pre cook mushy peas if they have any left.
Making DH pea and ham soup with ham and roast potatoes with veg for tonight. DH feeling ill done to as "we have had nothing but chicken lately" ( which is not the case grhh! ) so decided to spoil him while he is recuperating and not snarl at the man."This site is addictive!"
