Help with travel insurance please

Can anyone help with suggestions please?
My daughter is off to USA on student exchange for 5 months from August 2012 until January 2013. How do I go about finding travel insurance that will cover her?

    Widely available through most companies. Just look for long stay Travel Insurance. STA use to very good for these type of situations, as they were set up to help students, with all things travel related.
    The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

    Hi,

    DO NOT USE Debenhams Travel Insurance. They use Travel Claims Services who are useless. Their post room lost claim papers, never e-mail or ring you - always the snail mail post. Everything is in 5/6 working days from when you ring them. They are 0844 numbers - always take ages to answer - get put on hold - then they are 'only' call centre operatives - with NO surnames!!
