I'm currently in the process of seliing a lease hold property. I've been told by the landlord that he will not answer the purchaser's solicitors questionnaire without upfront playment of in excess of £350. I was expecting to pay something but...what should be considered reasonable.....

Wholly unreasonable but unfortunately if you want to sell the property you are likely to be stuck. You could try challenging the fee in the LVT but your solicitors will probably tell that their costs in doing this will exceed the difference between the amount the managing agents are charging and what would be a reasonable fee - say about £150.
Also your sale would be delayed and the buyers would want to know why - you can hardly explain that the managing agents are charging an unreasonable fee for information etc - buyer might pull out because he thinks that the managing agents are unreasonable and he is going to get ripped off in the future.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
