We stayed at La Pointe St Gilles 3 yrs ago and it is a lovely site and the pool complex is great for kids. This was first couple of weeks oin September though and I iamgine it would be heaving in summer holidays. There are a three beaches in waling distance. One a great sandy one where they do sailing etc, another sandy one that gets seaweed just by entrance to the park but lovely to sit at on a night and a shingle type one in benedot which is a nice quiet town. Further on from there is a lovely walk to a marina. It was our first holiday abroad with our kids and since then we've doen France each year and would love to go back to this site.
