I presume it's because they are worth up to 4x there face value at certain places (e.g.Alton Towers). However, I didn't realise they were transferable because I thought they had your name and/or clubcard number on them??

Tesco vouchers are wonderful! I trade some of mine in for Yates vouchers (a pub chain) and for every £2.50 worth of vouchers I get a £10 voucher to use at Yates.

As Yates offer a BOGOF on selected meals Mr Soolin and I can have a pleasant meal and a drink each for one £10 voucher.

I wasn't aware though that they were transferable, it just shows though that it really is possible to sell anything on ebay.

  • Dont know how they are going to redeem these vouchers .....

It clearly states on the back .... Tescos clubcard vouchers must be presented by the person named, together with the clubcard bearing the same name at the time of redemption

presumably this is because they can be used to get 4x value in mfi vouchers etc... but yes its extremely dodgy as if you send it off and its not registered to your address then tesco will not accept it.
    ummm...

In order to redeem these vouchers for Clubcard deals, they have to be sent back to Tesco Clubcard. Presumably, someone at Clubcard might spot that the name on the Clubcard Voucher does not tie in with the name on the Clubcard deals form, or then again, maybe they won't.

I noticed these recently and was amazed at first, but then started to realise they had greater value (as stated above).

On the checking of vouchers issue, I have to say that I've never been asked to produce my clubcard when redeeming them instore, so I doubt if anyone would bother to check too carefully if you sent them off..

I know what I'm doing with my next batch!!!

Unforunately the process isn't that simple for the 4x stuff. You have to send off a claim form to tesco with the normal vouchers who then send you the new vouchers back. I'd be very surprised if they didn't notice that the details don't tally

What about this one - Tescos Computers for Schools vouchers for sale. Make your own minds up.

Thats just not right. Why don't they just donate them to the nearest school taking part?
