Which C/C for low cost big spending?

in Credit cards
Hello,
I will be returning my company credit card later this month with the intention of getting one which will help build my credit and earn me some rewards.
Normal work expenses will be around £2000 p/m with me putting on as much as I can (shopping etc), and of course will be paid in full at the end of the month.
Will I pay any interest totting up 2k ish per month and paying in full? Do I need a card which has a 0% intro offer for purchases?
I've seen the Tesco C/C but as I use a fuel card I don't think I'd get the full benefit/double points from this - plus the customer service/reports I've read seem terrible.
Thanks

what do your credit files say ?
what credit lines do you have
what debts do you have
what is your income?0 -
Thanks for the help.
Credit score, not that it means much, shows 775. Only 1 default in the past 5yrs, lots of settled accounts and currently got 2 c/c without any other debt.
Both c/c have 2.5k limits with £0 balance on each.
Income 31k.
Thanks0 -
If you already have 2 CCs, why not use them instead of applying for a new one?0

If you are paying it off in full every month you will not be charged any interest. A 0% deal would only really be useful to you if you wanted to keep a balance on the card for more than that month's statement (i.e. if you don't pay it off in full every month). If this is the case you need to make sure you pay off the full balance before the 0% period ends; this means you will not be charged any interest.
If you are using a card for day to day spending, and always paying it off in full every month, I would think a cashback credit card would be a good one for you (or another equivalent reward card). This way not only will you be charged no interest, you will also be earning money/rewards for free for every penny you spend

Thanks Polly, very much appreciated.
Scottishblondie, the two cards I've got don't offer any rewards so there isn't much benefit to using them really, especially as Polly says, I can earn money by spending!
I've looked at the link in some detail previously and was wondering if I've missed anything obvious or a new deal.
American Express wouldn't benefit me as I'd need hotels etc to accept it without fail. I'd want to aviod Aqua/Capital One too as the two cards which I'm cancelling are from there.
Looking at it, I think a rewards card maybe better than a cashback card so the likes of Virgin/Tesco maybe a good shout.0 -
Why don't you get AMEX use it when you can and keep one of your othe CC for when AMEX not accepted0

do you regularly use the two CC you have?
it would be very unwise to cancel them before you manage to get a new one
the 'only one' default may be a turnoff for some of the best cards0
