Hope someone on here can give me some advice for a friend. Tenancy up for renewel end of this month landlord wants to increase the rent, tenants only just notified, they have a tenancy that stipulates that 2 months notice is required for vacating property by either tenant or landlord not that they want to leave but is it…

I think you will find Shelter say that you do not have to give notice if you leave on the last day of the fixed term but it may be best to let your landlord know your intentions to avoid arguments and to arange check out and return of deposit. No Notice is actually required.
