Can anyone help?
March 16th 2012 I placed seed potatoes into egg box bases (10 x Estima + 10 X King Edward) I placed them in a light and cool room. Today 10/07/12 I found them, I had completly forgotten about them as I have had to give up the allotment - my mind had not been on veg!
My question is - can these still be planted in the ground/buckets
They have sprouted about 2" growths and some appear to have very small green potatoes attached (all still in the egg box bases) the actual seed potatoes look as if they are a bit squidgy - but still fairly firm to the touch.
Am I going to poison people if I plant them? will they even grow?

i'm no expert but i would just plant them.the potatoes that you miss when you dig yours up,and there are usually a couple of small ones that you miss, they just stay in the ground and grow again.if they don't grow then you have lost nothing so i would plant them.0

They won't poison you, no. You won't get as big a crop as you would normally from them but you'll get some, so get them in the ground or bags asap. Actually have you got a greenhouse? They might be okay in bags in there.Val.0
