Our potatoes have Blight, and so do our toms now, and yesterday the broad beans are dying off to chocolate spot because of all this rain

I havent noticed anything else dying off yet, but the turnips, sweedes and leeks are loving the rain

Yes we have potatoes! Thankyou so much :j they were gorgeous. Not loads but everyone gorgeous and perfect. Also oddly enough all of a sudden it's all coming to life. Must be the sun lol.:rotfl: have loads of tomato buds that will hopefully flower. Just have to hope that autumn comes vvv late so there's time to grow!0

I haven't even been able to get tomatoes started this year. I tried three times but nothing.

The potatoes have done well though, but the skins on the first earlies are really hard. I haven't harvested the desiree main crop yet but hope that's better. Peas and runner beans seem to be flowering so expecting something from them, but the broccoli and carrots have just done nothing. I lost an awful lot of the strawberries to mould and to slugs but have actually managed to harvest a decent amount; enough to make the usual jam to hand around the whole family to anyway.
This is the first year I've had the allotment and therefore grown in quantity so I can't really compare to normal years but there's been a lot I have not even got planted due to the weather."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
My black lace which is my favourite plant in the garden is doing terribly! All the leaves are limp and it's not growing any more, was doing fine before all the rain so I'm guessing it's drowning, several other plants in the area have died. Don't know what to do.0

My neighbour has been complaining about snails (that would be because I chuck all mine over his end then
)
Chillies are fine, beans look sodden but hopefully just on pause, tomatoes - a few flowers and lots of foliage, potatoes it's wait and see.
I think it depends when you planted things. My chillies caught the glorious May weather, the tomatoes were planted out just before it turned nasty.
I wanted to hurry the snails out of my garden, so I removed their shells, but they just got more sluggishFreedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).
