ESA - am I damned whatever I did?

Hi,

I eventually got my esa50 filled in and sent off with so much stress. It took ages and I literally kept my typewriter on my table for two and a half weeks solid and just kept going back and forth.

However, when I finished I realised that it made War and Peace look like a short shopping list. Now I'm worried that they'll take the view of 'there's nowt wrong with this person as they've filled it in quite comprehensively'. The point is that if I just filled it in quickly with little information then I would've been classed as fit as a butchers - but filling it in as fully as I have done might go against me! Now even more worry and stress:(. And I know it's easy to say 'well it's done now so there's no point in worrying - but it's easier said than done:eek:

  • No, they will not take that view - it is always better to give as much information as possible, as long as the information is relevant.

I hope so! The information was relevant, in fact I realised the next day I missed some points out! I even had to add more attachments. I could never have written in in longhand due to a bad wrist, but the type meant I had even more room.

The day after sending it I went to a fibromyalgia meeting and the guest speaker mentioned 3 significant symptoms and I have all 3 - yet forgot to put them in the form.

I've also repeated myself over and over and I'm worried I've made such a mess of it all
  • i always assume that the more information you provide(as above providing its all relevant)the more likelyhood of a successful claim

You could always get someone else to sign it, who wrote it on your behalf ;)

I must admit I did think about that but I have this never-ending problem of jumping in what I thought was a puddle and end up neck deep in crap! I thought they may end up ringing that person etc, so I chickened out!
