Greece Travel Insurance

Do I need to be more careful when selecting my travel insurance for my holiday to Greece in September, considering the current political and social climate?
Also, I am flying to Crete, then sailing to Santorini.
I have noticed, that when choosing my destination on insurance comparison websites that Crete is an option as is Greece. Can I just select Greece, assuming that Crete will be classed as Greece? If I have to choose both, then online comparisons will need to me change my trip to a backpacking holiday. Which signicantly increases the cost of the insurance. More than double!
Thanks for your help.

Yes select Greece. Look into companies that offer the independent traveller option, given that the trip does not appear to be a packaged holiday.
Suggest that you arrange cover by phone and not online, so you can discuss the cover you are seeking. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
