Full Time Study Grants Help.

Hello
I am considering doing a Mechanical Design Engineering BEng (Hons) degree course which will be 1 year full time.
The Course costs £8500
I currently live with my partner and have a mortgage on the property we live in.
Our household income (me and partner) falls into the 25k-40k bracket
I believe I may be eligible for a £1000 bursary through the university as well as being eligible for a loan from the government to cover the cost of studies.
Another Grant I may be able to get is the Student Maintenance Grant for up to £3250
Are there other grants/tax deductions I may be eligible for i.e. council tax?
Anything I may have missed?
Thanks

You can't do a degree in one year!! A BEng takes at least three years and maybe longer if you do a year in industry/placementThere are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.0 -

That was my first thought, but maybe he has some qualification that enables him to go straight into the final year of a B.Eng. Anyway, I agree that there are a lot of academic questions that need answering before even thinking about money.0 -
I know it might sound crazy but as the OP talks about household income in their post, I want to make sure that they realise that you can't work full time and do an engineering degree. Engineering is usually pretty full time compared to Arts courses. There are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.0
