Scalding hot steam from soap drawer of my washer-dryer

I have a 5-year old Siemens WXD1260 washer dryer and the dryer function has stopped working. The clothes come out boiling hot and still sopping wet. There also scalding hot steam coming out of the soap drawer whilst it's supposed to be drying.
I'm guessing that as it's a condensing type dryer that the cold water supply to dryer cycle isn't being switched on (valve not working or solenoid of some sort failed?).
Any ideas? Might have a go myself if it's not too difficult. If that's not do-able, any ideas how much it might cost to fix?

Trying hard to be a good moneysaver.

Have you checked whether the dryer part has a filter?
I had an Ariston w/d a few years ago which had a filter in the back. When that blocked it would get hot but not dry anything.0 -
When did you last clean the condenser? No free lunch, and no free laptop

@Macman - Never. There's nothing in the Siemens manual about cleaning the condenser. Only how to clean the pump impeller bit....
@DavidFx - Spot on webpage. I'll give that a go tomorrow night.
@fwor - Whilst I have a look at the solenoids I'll look for anywhere that might be where fluff etc. gets trapped.Trying hard to be a good moneysaver.0 -
First thing to check is to inspect and clean the pump impeller, as per the manual. Check it's emptying properly before the spin cycle.
But as you say, it appears that the cold water inlet is not functioning during the drying cycle, so it can't condense. Check the inlet filter.
The condenser discharges into the drain outlet on this model, so it appears that the condenser is not user-accessible.No free lunch, and no free laptop
